The Jigawa State Mobile Veterinary Clinic Project is an initiative spearheaded by the His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar A. Namadi FCA, in response to the pressing need for improved animal healthcare services in rural areas. Recognizing the vital role that livestock plays in the livelihoods of many rural households and its significance to the state's economy, this project aims to address the existing gaps in veterinary service delivery.

Vaccination programs against common diseases, parasite control through deworming and ectoparasite treatments as well as routine health checks to identify early signs of illness or nutritional deficiencies.
Diagnosis and treatment of common ailments and injuries, surgical interventions for emergency cases or conditions requiring medical intervention and provision of essential medications and veterinary supplies.
Reproductive health assessments and management, breeding management advice to optimize reproductive outcomes and assistance with parturition and neonatal care to reduce mortality rates.
Workshops and training sessions on best practices in animal husbandry, nutrition, and disease prevention. Distribution of resources to empower livestock owners with knowledge and skills.
Rapid response to disease outbreaks, natural disasters, or other emergencies affecting animals’ population. Deployment of MOVEC teams to assess emergencies on animal health and welfare.
Community mobilization and sensitization campaigns to raise awareness about the importance of animal health and welfare. Collaboration with local leaders to foster community support for the project's activities.
